Watch you thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become your character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

Last night I experienced a mini coming out party with myself.
I realized that coming out doesn’t always relate to just sexuality. Coming out is really just accepting a part about yourself that you have been ignoring or just unaware of.
So, here’s my coming out:
My name is Amanda Flaim and I have been living as a studioed artist for the past 8 years. I’ve been only creating in my studio. Today I realized that I’m not just an artist in the studio and I’m an artist everywhere I go.
So, I moved some of my art into my family room and have begun doing art in there and in my studio. I realized I don’t have to just do art in my studio. I can do art anywhere: I can do it in my family room, I can do it at work, I can do it out on the streets and I can do it online!
Today was my first baby step in accepting myself as an artist everywhere in life, not just in the studio.
As hippy-dippy as it may sound, I mean every word of the next statement I make:
I look forward to the day when mankind is all playing it’s artistic movement in harmony. Each and every person will contribute their own unique and special artistic fingerprint to the one collage called, “The Art of Life”.

I took a bath this evening and I began to think about how it would be cool to watch a few television shows while taking a bath.
*Enter Enlightenment*
“Why don’t I get a big hot tub and put it out for my living area and watch tv and movies projected onto the wall?”
Then I thought, “but hot tubs are always outside.”
But then I thought, “but why do hot tubs always have to be outside?
*Exit Enlightenment*
I want to find a way to rent a hot tub and put it in the living area in my apartment.
On top of all of the normal bonuses of having a hot tub, I think the added bonus would be it would give incentive to motivate my lazy-ass friends that live in San Francisco to come visit me in Oakland. ;op

There is something beautiful about having a vision and doing it alone.
It is even more amazing and magical to see the energy that a group of people bring to do fulfill a vision.
